A seasoned biographer is persuaded to help former British Prime Minister Adam Lang finish his memoirs on a remote island after the ghostwriter who was initially hired drowned in unexplained circumstances. No sooner has the new ghostwriter accepted the lucrative assignment than strange things happen to him. Soon it becomes apparent that Lang's involvement in the second Iraq war is central to the story - and that some powerful people will do anything to keep certain details in the ex-prime minister's biography under wraps.
