Shortly after the end of the Spanish Civil War, six-year-old Ana grows up in a country house, her everyday life marked by mystery and loneliness. When Ana sees Frankenstein thanks to a traveling movie theater, she begins to believe that the spirit of the monster killed in the film resides in a nearby well. Despite great fear, she tries to befriend the creature.
