Petit à petit
Jean Rouch, Niger, France, 1970o
An African travels to Paris to learn about the construction of tall buildings, but is soon taken up with the oddities of French life. Rouch abandons his more traditional ethnographic methods here for a reverse approach, with his African subjects arriving in France to take the temperature of Parisian society and to exercise their capitalist impulses.
