Das Fiktionale im Dokumentarfilm 4/5
Fred van der Kooij, Switzerland, 2018o
In five lectures, film lecturer Fred van der Kooij explores the fictional elements in documentary film using numerous examples: from the widespread rearrangement of real events and mockumentaries to the staging of historical key moments in docudramas or the mixed forms of feature and documentary film popular on television. The fourth lecture takes the revolutionization of documentary filmmaking by light and economic 16mm cameras in the 1960s as the starting point for a tour d'horizon through the dazzling forms of pseudo-documentary creation, in which everything real is only asserted.
