A woman flies back to her hometown because her mother, who suffers from Alzheimer's, gets lost wandering in a snow storm. The return home and the resistance of her father, who is reluctant to place the mother in a nursing home, forces her to face her past. An intergenerational family melodrama about love, loss and letting go.

Elisabeth Chomko schöpft für ihren Erstling aus eigener Familienerfahrung, was ihrem gut besetzten Alzheimer-Drama einen glaubwürdigen Grundton verleiht. Doch im letzten Drittel gleitet die betont geschmackvoll gehaltene Inszenierung zunehmend ins Seifige ab, bis dann alles in einem kitschigen Rosengartenidyll mündet.
