12-year old Paul lives with his mum in a remote forest near a psychiatric clinic. His life changes radically when 15-year old Gloria, a new schizophrenia patient, arrives in the clinic. Paul is fascinated by her – and a strong bond between the two develops. Together they break out of the clinic and disappear into the forest on a journey to the heart of madness.
Adoration nous embarque dans l’épopée de deux jeunes enfants, en les regardant réaliser ce qui a pu être pour chacun de nous un rêve adolescent de liberté et d’amour. Le comédien, Thomas Gioria, est bouleversant dans cette figure du saint, à l’instar de L’Idiot de Dostoïevski. Pétri de compassion et de douceur, il est fort de sa grande fragilité. Fantine Harduin, découverte dans le dernier film de Michael Haneke, Happy End, réussit la tâche diffcile pour une comédienne d’alterner différents états émotionnels d’une force terrible.
