The software of the AI doll M3GAN, which was created in the 2022 horror film of the same name by a brilliant scientist as a companion and protector for her niece and developed a precarious life of its own, is stolen by an arms company in the sequel and turned into a military weapon called Amelia. The original creator is forced to resurrect M3GAN and upgrade her in turn.
