Filmmaker Stascha Bader sets out to discover Bern's musical identity. Starting with clichés, he uncovers influential folk songs and songwriters from the past. What begins as a musical quest turns into a journey to the roots of a shared social identity. For the voices of Bern have been telling stories and singing songs for centuries, not just decades, and have become part of the collective consciousness.

Transmitted by Australian visual artist Jonathan Zawada, Tall Tales is a fairy tale for the modern world; depicting rising tides, kings & queens, amazon logistics and robotic arms under iridescent skies. We wanted computers to do our accounting – instead, they try to paint our pictures and sing our songs.

A visually spectacular landscape of lush colours, futuristic screens and wild images of nature that comes alive with Björk's wondrous music, as she performs live alongside musicians and choirs of flutes and voices.
