Der mexikanische Dia de los Muertos steht im Zentrum dieses 19. Pixar-Films, mit dem das Studio nach einigen Schwächen zu altem Glanz zurückfindet. Die Geschichte ist zwar ziemlich einfach, aber Ausführung und Detailreichtum überzeugen. Darüber hinaus ist es wieder mal ein Original und nicht die Fortsetzung einer Fortsetzung. Oscars für den besten Animationsfilm und den besten Filmsong.
