Maya’s hive is abuzz with excitement. The bees have finished their summer harvest and a dignitary has arrived from Buzztropolis. Perhaps her hive will finally be invited to compete in the Great Honey Games? But Maya’s excitement quickly turns sour when she finds out that not only is her hive not allowed to compete, but the Empress has demanded they contribute half their summer honey to feed the athletes. Against the Queen’s wishes, Maya decides to travel to Buzztropolis to stand up to the Empress.
Sie würde so gerne einmal an den Honigspielen in Summtropolis teilnehmen. In diesem Jahr wird der Wunsch der Biene Maja nach einigen Wirrungen und Zickenkriegen wahr. Allerdings geht es um die Existenz, die Honigernte der Klatschmohnwiese steht auf dem Spiel. Maja, die bei Alexs Stadermann und Noel Cleary stets alles schlimmer macht, muss Verantwortung für ihre Fehler übernehmen. Kinder können hier etwas lernen, doch an den Charme der Serie aus den Siebzigerjahren kommt die Animation nicht heran.
