Vlada works as a truck driver during the NATO bombing of Serbia in 1999. Tasked with transporting a mysterious load from Kosovo to Belgrade, he drives through unfamiliar territory, trying to find his way in a country scarred by war. But he also knows that once the job is over, he will need to return home and face the demons of the past.
Ognjen Glavonic wurde 1985 in Pancevo im heutigen Serbien geboren. Sein Spielfilmdebüt ist von hoher Dichte und Intensität: Man rumpelt geradezu mit im Laster durchs Kriegsgebiet, die Kamera bleibt stets bei Vlada -- und schafft so ein intimes Gefühl für das Gewissen des Einzelnen im Kollektivtrauma.
