Eric "Cincinnati Kid" Stoner is considered the best poker player in New Orleans of the 1930s. He does everything he can to compete against old champion Lancey Howard, but at first the champion shows no interest in playing against the young challenger. Finally, however, Cincinnati's friend Shooter manages to lure Howard to the poker table for an extremely lucrative round against Cincinnati Kid.
