Franny is young woman who has completely lost her bearings, both professionally and privately, and who regularly suffers from panic attacks. In contrast, single mother Mel is self-reliant and assertive - so assertive that she plans a diamond robbery in order to make a better life for herself and her daughter. But as elaborate as Mel's plan may be - the execution goes very wrong and Mel has to take Franny as a hostage. On the run from the police, an unexpected friendship slowly develops between the two women.
Die taffe, alleinerziehende Mel und die unter Angstzuständen und Panikattacken leidende Franny kollidieren als Juwelenräuberin und Geisel miteinander. Die Harte und die Hysterische auf engstem Raum im abgerockten Honda, auf einer wilden Flucht vor Cops und Gangstern. Ein Buddymovie, das mal nicht von Männern erzählt, sondern von zwei tollen Frauen. Eine Actionkomödie, die sehr unterhaltsam, aber nicht spätpubertär albern ist, sondern ausgesprochen komisch und gefühlvoll, dieser Drahtseilakt gelingt Karoline Herfurth in ihrer zweiten Regiearbeit, in der sie mit Hannah Herzsprung ein starkes Duo bildet, umgeben von liebenswerten, illuster besetzten Nebenfiguren.
