Despite an Apache uprising, a stagecoach leaves for Lordsburg. Among the passengers are the sheriff, a pregnant officer's wife and a shy liquor representative, a drunk doctor, a gambler, a prostitute and a corrupt banker. On the way Ringo joins them; he has escaped from prison to settle accounts with the murderers of his father and brother. Soon the travelling community is attacked by the Apache.
