Shortly before his 70th birthday, Franz Hohler sets off to hike the Säntis, departing from his doorstep in Zürich-Oerlikon together with the filmmaker Tobias Wyss. To hike the only mountain he sees from the top floor of his home is something he resolved to do a long time ago. Encounters of all kinds await him along the way in the foothills of the Alps, offering surprising glimpses of his life as an author, cabaret artist, songwriter, as a husband and father and as an avid hiker.
