The Sugarland Express
Steven Spielberg , USA, 1974o
Best Screenplay at the Festival de Cannes in 1974, the little-known film shot after Duel and before Jaws is no doubt one of the most intimate films made by Steven Spielberg, for whom divorce is a recurring theme. Based on a true story, the film follows a mother (Goldie Hawn) who incites the father of her child to escape from prison so they can go off together to find their son, who has been placed in a foster home.
Réalisé avec un brio hallucinant, le film a une pêche d'enfer. L'année suivante, il réalisa les Dents de la mer. Depuis, on l'appelle Spielberg.
