Clara Kuperberg, Julia Kuperberg, France, 2014o
Brooklyn born Steve Schapiro discovered photography at the age of 9 at a summer camp. He spent decades prowling the streets of his native New York City trying to emulate Henry Cartier Bresson whom he greatly admired. Later he photographed famous people like the Kennedys and was soon employed as a set photographer by Paramount Pictures. His pictures of Marlon Brando, Dustin Hoffman, Al Pacino or Robert de Niro are world famous.
