Best friends Franzi (a sports ace), Kim (a bookworm) and Marie (a fashion-lover) together form the detective trio "The Three !!!". During the summer holidays, all three are taking part in a theater performance. But in the middle of rehearsals, strange noises suddenly fill the performance hall, the lights start to flicker menacingly, costumes tear apart and a threatening message appears on the make-up mirror. "The Three !!!" quickly take up their newest case!
Die Jungdarstellerinnen scheinen ihren Spass gehabt zu haben, ebenso Jürgen Vogel als wunderlicher Theaterleiter oder Armin Rohde in einem Gastauftritt als Spelunkenbesitzer. Aber originell ist die Story nicht gerade, das Frauenbild sogar bedenklich.
