Space Dogs
Levin Peter, Levin Peter, Austria, Germany, 2019o
Laika, a stray dog, was the first living being to be sent into space, and thus to a certain death. A legend says that she returned to Earth as a ghost and still roams the streets of Moscow.
Totally unconventional and beyond the anthropocentric gaze, Space Dogs is the visionary work of someone who, at the end of History, attempts to rethink it by inventing new canons. The shifting point of view, from essential images of the past to the weight of legend and the violence of the present, sets out a new limit for asking ourselves not just about our role as spectators but also as agents of progress.
