Episodes from the story collection "1001 Nights" set the framework for this film, which stylishly questions the clichés about life in Iran and in Europe. An Iranian brewer does not let up in opening the first beer garden in Tehran based on the Bavarian model and fights tirelessly against the windmills of bureaucracy. A Berlin artist is constantly trying to shake off her Afghan roots. And the director, herself a character in the film, struggles to finish her film without making concessions to outside expectations.
