The film documents the journey of five artists who want to get from Germany to New York overland on old Russian Ural motorcycles. The focus is not so much on the thoroughly beautiful nature of Mongolia or the tundra, but rather on the hardships that have to be endured and how, in the event of breakdowns, they always come into contact with strangers.
