A family is driving through the beautiful Iranian countryside. In the back of their rental car sits the father with his leg in a cast. The mother is trying to restrain her little boy, who is constantly climbing around and up to all kinds of mischief. Only the couple's already grown-up son doesn't say a word, sits at the wheel and looks stoically at the road. That the trip, which at first seems aimless, is more than just a harmless excursion becomes increasingly clear the further the family ventures into the mountains in the north of the country.
