Sagarika emigrates to Norway with her family; her husband has obtained a new job there as a geophysicist. They raise their two children the way they were raised themselves: The whole family sleeps in the same bed, the children are hand-fed, and Hindu traditions are practiced. But the Norwegian Child Protection Agency sees this as inappropriate parenting behavior and separates the parents from their children. For the parents, a bitter struggle for their children begins.
