The documentary film sensitively shows the everyday life of a ward of the Basel Youth Psychiatry. The focus is on two staff members who are confronted with all-too-human issues on a daily basis: Social pedagogue Marion and psychiatric nurse Andreas take care of the worries, fears and suicidal thoughts of their patients. The identity of the young people is deliberately protected in order to keep them from any voyeurism. The result is an intimate portrait of an extraordinary place that has been captured on film over years.
