The Lady from Shanghai

Michael O'Hara, against his better judgment, signs on as a crew member on lawyer Arthur Bannister's yacht as it sails toward San Francisco. On the way, they pick up George Grisby, Bannister's business partner. Michael, meanwhile, flirts with Bannister's wife Elsa and is persuaded by Grisby to cooperate in his audacious plan: Together, they plan to fake Grisby's death. With the promised 5000 dollars Michael wants to run away with Elsa.
