In the near future, a technology exists that can be used to determine the dates of deaths of all humans. Mort learns that he has less than a year to live. After his fiancée leaves him because of this information, he meets Kate at a dating agency that brings people together based on their date of death. Mort decides to make the most of every day and even finds true love in the process.
