With the albums Born to Run and Darkness on the Edge of Town, Bruce Springsteen has become a celebrated rock star in the 1970s. But by the end of the decade, fame threatens to overwhelm him and he seems to be losing his authenticity. He retreats to his bedroom to record the album Nebraska with a simple 4-track device, reflecting on his roots and stories of the American working class.
