Sisters July and September are inseparable. July, the youngest, lives under the protection of her older sister. Their strange behavior is a concern for their mother, who is raising them alone. When September is temporarily expelled from high school, July must learn to fend for herself and begins to assert her independence. After a mysterious event, the three of them take refuge in a country house. The family dynamic is put to the test.
