Frank, serving a life sentence, takes a prison job caring for ageing incarcerated men with Alzheimer's and dementia. What begins as a self-interested bid for parole becomes a profound, transformative bond with fellow prisoner Louis, offering Frank a glimpse of redemption in an unforgiving place.

Two spirits encounter each other in a limbo – a place between the earthly and the beyond. The two spirits are still trapped in their human shells, but have already lost the ability to speak. They will only spend a few days in limbo, before a wandering light leads them to the next world.
