Following the ten-year siege of Troy and the decisive stratagem of the Trojan Horse, Odysseus and his companions wish to sail back as quickly as possible to his kingdom of Ithaca, where his wife is besieged by rivals vying for the throne and his son is growing up without a father. But when, during a stopover, he blinds a one-eyed giant and thereby arouses Poseidon’s wrath, obstacles begin to pile up in ways he could never have imagined.
