Following the ten-year siege of Troy and the decisive stratagem of the Trojan Horse, Odysseus and his companions wish to sail back as quickly as possible to his kingdom of Ithaca, where his wife is besieged by rivals vying for the throne and his son is growing up without a father. But when, during a stopover, he blinds a one-eyed giant and thereby arouses Poseidon’s wrath, obstacles begin to pile up in ways he could never have imagined. Will he reach Ithaca in time – or ever at all?

Believing that his American lover, Jennifer, is on his side, Fernando, a young Mexican ballet dancer, enters the US illegally to make his dreams come true in San Francisco. After their passionate reunion, however, the woman from a wealthy family behaves so erratically that Fernando decides to make his own way in life. When he manages to join a dance company sponsored by Jennifer’s family, his fortunes seem to be turning.
