Things are not good for Koala Buster Moon: His theater is struggling with falling revenues. But he has to act, otherwise he may close the theater. So Buster decides to take an unusual action: he organizes a singing contest and everyone can participate. With his friend Eddie, Buster gets to know many characters: Johnny, the rapping gorilla, Rosita, the mother pig who always felt called for more, or Meena, the young elephant with extreme stage fright. They all dream of a great career - and Buster of not having to close his theater.
