125 chairs from 1807 to the latest designs from the 3D printer are set up in the Vitra Show Depot, in order of their production years, to form a timeline of modern seating furniture design. In the documentary well-known designers, architects and museum curators talk about the history of this object of everyday use, which only seems inconspicuous at first glance, since chairs reveal essential things about the time and society in which they were designed.
