They all live in Los Angeles, where their paths cross within a few hours: a drinking limo driver, his girlfriend Doreen, who runs over a child, and the child's mother, who is harassed by the pastry chef. A vain policeman who cheats on his wife with a woman who is also married, an unemployed man who discovers a corpse while fishing, a young mother who offers phone sex while changing diapers, while her husband chases young women with his buddy.
