Luc Bessons Klassiker von 1994 kommt erneut ins Kino, als Director's Cut, zwanzig Minuten länger und digital restauriert. Der Film wirkt noch immer so professionell wie der Profikiller (Jean Reno), so unschuldig wie das zwölfjährige Mädchen, das er unter seine Obhut nimmt (eine sehr junge Natalie Portman), und so überdreht wie der fiese Drogen-Cop, gegen den sie zu Felde ziehen (Gary Oldman am Rande der Karikatur).
