SPACE OPERA DESTROYER | After escaping from its spaceship, an AI is hunted down across the galaxy by two hunters. Mind-blowingly awesome music by Carpenter Brut.

The film
Two hunters track down a spaceship piloted by a malfunctioning artificial intelligence. The failing ship crash lands on a planet. As they approach it, a group of women start performing a ritual on the vessel, which results in the liberation of a ghost that takes off into space. Intrigued, the pursuers fly off after it, and embark on a space voyage beyond their wildest dreams.
Its bare bones narrative barely hides the true intent behind BLOOD MACHINES: to unabashedly celebrate the sounds and images of the 1980s. At the crossroads between the powerful synth waves of Carpenter Brut and his neon-soaked aesthetics, this awe-inspiring cosmic opera eventually dissolves into an awesome organic kaleidoscope. The BLOOD MACHINES space odyssey is the sensory blast of the summer.
The directors
Seth Ickerman is a deceptive pseudonym that actually refers to two people: Raphaël Hernandez and Savitri Joly-Gonfard. After directing multiple commercials, they joined forces with Carpenter Brut in 2016 to create the TURBO KILLER music video. Inspired by the project’s huge success, they are back with BLOOD MACHINES, an appropriately ambitious undertaking made possible by two successive crowdfunding campaigns.
