1915, in a small town in the Ottoman Empire: Fourteen-year-old Arshaluys lives sheltered with her family in a beautiful house. But soon systematic discrimination, deportations and massacres of the Armenian population begin. Arshaluy manages to escape to the USA. There, her story is adapted in Hollywood as an adventure film, starring Arshaluys, now called Aurora. She becomes the face of a U.S. humanitarian campaign for Armenian orphans. But when the political will fizzles out, Aurora falls into oblivion.
