During World War 2, Friedel Bohny-Reiter worked for the Swiss Red Cross Children's Aid in the French internment camp of Rivesaltes. The young nurse from Basel saved numerous children from deportation to Auschwitz by forging passports and changing names. The film follows the traces of her diary and shows various conversations with rescued people.
