Gabriel, a young literature teacher, has just moved to Rio. He discovers Glória, a bar in the neighbourhood, where he soon becomes friends with the magnetic owner Monica. When he meets Adriano, one of her male companions and escort, the chemistry between the two is explosive and a turbulent love affair begins. When Adriano suddenly disappears one day, Gabriel sets off in search of clues and becomes a sex worker himself. When he realises that his obsession with Adriano is leading him down a destructive path, Gabriel has to make decisions to protect himself and his friends at the Glória.
