After the death of his mother, thirty-one-year-old Rein moves to the Alps to find peace and quiet and work as a snowboard instructor. But his quiet bubble bursts when his extroverted father Gijs, aged sixty, turns up on a ski tour and becomes the centre of attention, wooing Rein's girlfriend and pushing his son away. When Rein loses patience, the conflict on the mountain escalates. It isn’t long before nature violently lashes out, turning their petty struggle for dominance into a full-blown quest for survival.
