La douleur

June 1944, France is still under the German Occupation. The writer Robert Antelme, major figure of the Resistance, is arrested and deported. His young wife, Marguerite, writer and resistant, was torn by the anguish of not having her news and her secret liaison with her comrade Dyonis. She met a French agent of the Gestapo, Rabier, and, ready to do anything to find her husband, tested an ambiguous relationship with this troubled man, only to be able to help him.
Finkiel réussit l’essentiel : honorer Marguerite D. (la personne et l’écrivaine) sans excès hagiographique tout en ouvrant son œuvre à un public qui ne la connaît pas. Superbe, forcément superbe.
Serge KaganskiL’adaptation intense et aiguë d’une des oeuvres les plus fortes de Marguerite Duras, qui en restitue superbement, par Mélanie Thierry, la voix, et qui élargit la douleur, individuelle, d’une femme qui, dans le temps même de cette aussi longue absence, aime un autre homme, à celle, collective, de tout un pays qui n’a pas su, ou pas voulu savoir…
Jean SerroyMélanie Thierry est d’une justesse parfaite dans le rôle. Cinéma d’auteur, cinéma intelligent – avec de brèves bouffées d’intense émotion. Bref, un film qu’on adore.
