Three young Afghans individually leave their families and their village. In Switzerland they find each other again: the boys of Qarabaghi. The documentary shows how quickly they integrate into the new world. They learn German, enter the world of work and make Swiss friends. They stay in close contact not only with each other, but also with the families in Afghanistan. But the Islamist Taliban undermine the hope of a reunion. So the conflict becomes evengreater: the more successful the integration in Switzerland, the deeper the gap between the new and the old homeland.
