Baisers volés
François Truffaut, France, 1968o
Nine years after Les quatre cents coups, François Truffaut's famous alter ego, Jean-Pierre Léaud, alias Antoine Doinel, has grown into a young man and is dishonorably discharged from the army as a gentle troublemaker. Back in his Parisian home quarter, he ekes out a living with varying degrees of skill as a night porter, private detective and shoe salesman, while trying to coerce an unequivocal confession from his girlfriend Christine with similarly modest success. To compensate, he occasionally visits the ladies of Place Pigalle, not to mention his crush on the supposedly sophisticated wife of his boss.
