An artist and an actor go into seclusion in a film studio. They want to get to the bottom of their actual (above all sexual) identity by examining the projections and expectations linked to themselves by their respective public images. This is to be achieved not least through the use of three alter egos each, which embody distinctive character traits and different gender projections of the two protagonists.
Anna Odell machte mit The Reunion von sich reden, einer autobiografischen Weird-Comedy über ihre Mobber in der Schule. Ihr neuer Film ist als Sozialexperiment angelegt, wo es um vieles geht: Geschlechteridentitäten und mediale Kunstfiguren, Reality-TV und Rollenerwartungen, «art projects» und «art babys». Aus feministischer und kunstpraktischer Sicht sehr interessant, aber das Ganze will einfach nicht zünden.
