Here for Life
Andrea Luka Zimmerman, Adrian Jackson, UK, 2019o
An uncommon story told on common ground by ten Londoners. Their loves and their losses. What does it cost to exist? We are all Here for Life, here for now.
Sometimes collaborations seem like they were meant to be. Having grown up in public housing, artist Andrea Luka Zimmerman engages in the themes of memory and social justice for marginalized communities in her video work; Adrian Jackson is the founder-director of Cardboard Citizens, theater for and by the homeless. Together, they teamed up with ten Londoners to share tales of resistance against gentrification. A testament to the politics of listening and to collective recollection.
