In a retirement home in Florida, extravagance and glamour are caught up in an existential contest with loneliness, slackening limbs and weariness. "The Palace" in Miami is a buzzing and luxurious senior living community, where seniors live a life full of parties and entertainment. But The Palace is also a thriving business.

Es sind bizarre Szenen, die sich unter Kronleuchtern, Marmor und Gold abspielen. Die porträtierte Altersresidenz in Miami gleicht einem Las-Vegas-Casino. Und genau wie in einem solchen Casino geht es auch im Luxus-Altersheim um Unterhaltung bis zum Umfallen: Happy Hour, Halloweenpartys, Singstunden. Hauptsache, niemand will von dort jemals wieder weg.
