Made in Hong Kong gives an insight into life in Hong Kong shortly before the return to China in 1997. Six different life stories mix with the cityscapes to form a portrait of the metropolis. The film also shows the problems the city will face in the future: the geographical narrowness, the lack of architectural concepts, the exploding economy and the political uncertainty regarding the time after 1997.
