Stymied by the daily routine of the supermarket and her second job at the local pub, Jan only cares for a few geese, a lazy dog and an oddball goat in addition to her husband. She knows she's missing a dream. One evening at the pub, she overhears promising stories of former highs in horse racing. Following this hint of fate, she embarks on a crazy plan to breed a special racehorse with a few friends and pub-goers.
