Nadia Zouaoui, who emigrated from Algeria to Montréal many years ago, is returning to her homeland because reports of the increasing Islamism in Maghreb are worrying her. On the one hand, she tracks down representatives of the older generation who witnessed the rise of Salafism, and on the other hand she interviews younger Algerians who were brought up Islamistically but have now developed a critical attitude toward this indoctrination.
