After forty years of absence, Felice returns from the Middle East and Africa to his hometown of Naples to look after his dying mother. He rediscovers once familiar places, meets old acquaintances and stories. And with it, people who are not happy that Felice is back. Among them is Felice's childhood friend Oreste, who has become a mafioso.
